Monogram Pictures Corporation was a Hollywood studio that produced and released low budget films. Originally created in 1931, the entity merged with Republic Pictures from 1935-1936, but withdrew, and was reactivated as Monogram in 1937. The firm completed a transition to the name Allied Artists Pictures Corporation in 1953, Allied Artists originally being a unit of Monogram that was created in 1946, with the aim of making costlier films under a different banner.
